Tales of the Griot — Chapter I

Wear the story.
Carry the culture.

In West Africa the Griot kept the memory of a people through song and storytelling. We carry that tradition forward — fabric as our canvas, heritage as our ink.

Under the
Baobab Tree.

A community gathered beneath vast branches. Elders, families, children — sitting in rings of firelight as evening settles. In the glow of the flames, a griot begins to speak, and the space between storyteller and listener becomes a place where memory lives.

Long before written records, griots carried the histories of families, kingdoms and entire peoples — ensuring stories, traditions and lessons were never forgotten.

Chapter I.

Each piece retells a legend or honours a leader from African folklore — reinterpreted through modern silhouettes, heavyweight cotton, and prints designed to be inherited.

The Lion
of Mali.

Inspired by the Epic of Sundiata Keita — the 13th-century founder of the Mali Empire. Born into prophecy, mocked in childhood, exiled in youth. Yet through perseverance and the wisdom of his community, he returned to unite divided kingdoms.

A story of resilience, destiny, and the belief that true strength comes from bringing people together.
